Lady Warriors win final playback, will be 9th seed from D1 in state playoffs

The Lady Warriors capped off its impressive run through the District One Class AAAA girls’ basketball consolation bracket with a decisive 59-40 victory over No. 10 Garnet Valley Saturday afternoon.

Jenna Carroll hit for 19 points and also pulled down 12 rebounds and Kelsey Watson added 12 points for the No. 5 Lady Warriors (24-6), who won their third straight to finish as the ninth seed from District 1 in the upcoming PIAA Tournament.

The Lady Warriors, which will open state play Friday night at an undetermined time and site against the District 12 champion Cardinal O'Hara, won every quarter Saturday – leading 11-8 after one quarter, 24-18 at the break and 36-27 heading into the final frame.
