Lady Warriors fall to Sanford (DE) in BB Classic final

The Lady Warriors had to try and overcome a quick turnaround from a late night and physical game in the win over Wildwood Catholic against the Delaware powerhouse Sanford in the finals of the Fran St. John bracket of the Wildwood Boardwalk Classic. The Sanford program which has won several state titles and most recently the past two years were Delaware state finalist and semifinalists proved a tough challenge for the Lady Warriors. The Lady Warriors jumped out to an early lead 10-8 after one but then were playing from behind for most of the game after that. Early in the fourth the Lady Warriors had one last shot of energy and took a 26-25 lead. A Kelly Glatthorn three with 3 minutes remaining put the Lady Warriors down 31-30 but that would be their last basket of the game and they fell 37-30. Jenna Carroll posted a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebound. Kelly Glatthorn 9 points. The teams record now stands at 6-3.
