It was a grand night for Jenna Carroll and the Lady Warriors.  With Carroll posting a double-double that including 10 rebounds and 13 points, including a triple in the fourth quarter to hit the 1,000-point plateau for her career, the 12th seeded Lady Warriors earned their second straight berth in the PIAA playoffs with a 45-35 victory over 17thseeded Souderton in a District 1-AAAA elimination game for the 9th and 10th berths in the state tournament.

Carroll, who knocked down a pair of treys in the contest, became just the 5th Lady Warrior player in school history to reach 1,000 points.

It was all about starting fast and finishing strong for the Lady Warriors, who'll be making the program's third appearance at the state level.

Another 1,000-point scorer Kelly Glatthorn hit all eight of her free throw attempts en route to a game-high 15 points for the Warriors, who extended a 9-6 first-quarter lead to 24-14 at the break and held on through an even second half.

Freshman Jackie Cerchio came off the bench to score 8 points for Methacton (20-8 overall), which will travel to 2nd seeded Garnet Valley Saturday in a matchup that will decide the 9th and 10th seeds from the district.

The Lady Warriors will find out Sunday where they fall in the bracket for the PIAA AAAA state playoffs.  Depending on Saturday's result they will either play the District 12 champ or the District 3 champ.  The State playoffs begin on Friday March 7th.
