Rams Overpower Warriors in PAC-10 Matchup
SpringFord (9-0, 7-0 PAC-10) stands alone atop the PAC-10 boys lacrosse standings. They continued to make their case as the strongest team in the league as they traveled to Methacton (4-5, 3-4 PAC-10) and overpowered the Warriors. The guests jumped out to a 5-0 first quarter lead behind dominant faceoff work from Matt Della Croce and Justin Schwenk. The Warriors were unable to capitalize on offensive opportunities and the Rams jumped on transition chances to extend the lead to the 10-1 hafltime margin.
The Warriors were able to sustain more possession in the second half which saw more even action as the Rams outscored the Warriors by 7-5. Aidan Denecke again led Methacton with 4 points on 3 goals and an assist while Senior Connor Stevenson made an immediate impact on his return from injury to tally a goal and an assist of his own. Kyle Kacala netted the Warriors remaining goals and Harvey Smith made 19 saves on the day.
Methacton hosts another formidable foe as Owen J. Roberts visits Warrior Field on Wednesday of this week.
