The Methacton Boys Basketball team defeated Hazleton by a score of 64-42 in the opening round of the PIAA State Tournament. David Duda led the way with 18 points (5 threes), while Jeff Woodward (14 points, 12 rebounds, 7 blocks), Ben Christian (13 points), and Brett Eberly (10 points, 9 assistst) all hit for double figures. With the win, Methacton improves to 23-7 on the season. Next up for the Warriors is a second round game against Boys Latin on Wednesday at a site to be determined.
