Lady Warriors take down Kennett in season opener

The Lady Warriors defended their home turf in impressive style, rolling to the season opening victory 60-18 over Kennett in the 12th Annual Lady Warrior Classic Tip-Off Tournament.
Sophomore Nicole Timko single-handedly outscored the Blue Demons with a game-high 26 points that included six three-balls while Senior Sydney Tornetta added 11 for the Lady Warriors, which hosts Ridley Saturday (6:30 pm) for the tourney title. Timko's six threes also tied the girls school record for thress in a game.
Also for the Warriors, Freshman Cassidy Kropp finished with five steals, four points and five rebounds, sharing the team lead in boards with Senior Sydney Hargrove and Sophomore Tori Bockrath.
