The Lady Warriors traveled to Wildwood, NJ for the 14th straight year to take part in the Wildwood Boardwalk Basketball Classic at the Wildwood Convention Center. The tournament is the largest coed basketball tournament in the country featuring over 80 boys and girls teams from across the country. In the opening round of the tournament the Lady Warriors took down Archbishop Ryan 51-33. Sophomore Nicole Timko hit five three-balls and scored a game-high 19 points while Seniors Sydney Tornetta and Caroline Pellicano finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds apiece to carry the Lady Warriors to victory in the opening round.
The Lady Warriors, who face Camden Catholic Saturday (4:45 pm) for the Gen. Melini Memorial Bracket championship, ripped off a 20-6 edge in the fourth quarter to blow open a tenuous 31-27 lead.
