Girls LAX suffers non-league loss to Unionville

Despite being tied 2-2 at half, the Warriors gave up 8 straight goals in the second half to dig themselves into a 2-10 hole. Sophomore Sara Hughes put Methacton on the board just 14 seconds but Unionville came back to tie the game at 1. Senionr Kelly Glatthorn put the Warriors up 2-1 before Unionville would answer again to tie the game at 2. That was all for the first half as no one would score for 23 minutes. After giving up 8 goals, the Warriors got on the board in the second half on a goal by Casey Reid. Unionville answered with two goals before Senior Ellie Schmidt found the back of the cage for Methactons four goal of the game. Unionville would score again but Hughes scored her second of the day to close out the scoring. Junior Sam Rothman was strong in goal, with a season high 10 saves. The Warriors host OJR at 3:45 Thursday.
