If there was any doubt as to the Most Valuable Player in the PAC-10, Tyler Kirkpatrick erased that doubt today. Trailing 3-0 going into the 6th inning, Kirkpatrick hit a lead-off home run. But that wasn't enough - in the top of the seventh Kirkpatrick went yard again - a three-run blast that provided the Methacton Warriors a 4-3 win and the top spot in the conference with a 13-5 final regular season record. OJR had scored three times in the second inning, capped by a two-rbi single by Derek Vandercrone. Methacton pitched Mike Anthony, Reed Hostrander, and Trip Hagner, with Hagner getting the win by pitching two scoreless innings to finish the game. OJR used four pitchers - Sam Murphy, Cutter Endy, Drew Lewis, and CJ Weaver - to hold the Warriors to only four hits. Colin McCourt had two of OJR's eight hits; andClayton Harwick added a double for Methacton.
