POTTSTOWN HIGH: 4

The Methacton Warriors were down 4-2 to the Pottstown Trojans heading into the bottom of the seventh - no problem.  Clayton Harwick crushed the first pitch of the inning way out of the park in right field - home run, now 4-3.  Trip Hagner walked which led to the departure of the Trojan's starter Jason Hydier.  Hagner would score on Anthony Santoleri's second sacrifice fly of the game to send the contest into extra innings.  Tyler Kirkpatrick walked to lead off the bottom of the eight, and stole second base for his third steal of the game.  One batter later Harwick would bat again, and this time drilled a walk-off single off Trojan's reliever Rich Masciarelli to produce an exciting victory for the Warriors.

The Trojans had struck first in the fourth on a double by Jimmy Mullen and a rbi grounder from Derek Beyer, and Methacton had responded in the bottom of that inning with a two run rally fueled by Danny Damato's single, and doubles by Kyle Lowery and Glenn Seymour.  The score was still 2-1 Warriors heading into the seventh, a one-run error-free contest, when Methacton's starter Reed Hostrander gave up two walks and a single that lead to three runs by the Trojans on rbi singles by Zach Reagan, Masciarelli, and Bailey Brown.  Hostrander went 6 1/3 innings and had snared two absolute rocket line drives back to the mound before Pottstown got to him.  Trip Hagner earned the win for the Warriors, pitching a scoreless eight inning, and Hagner had a couple base hits at the plate.  Harwick and Damato each had three hits on the day for Methacton as the Warriors pounded out 13 total base hits to go 12-5 in the PAC-10 and maintain first place in the conference.  Joey Schaaf and Zach Reagan each had two hits for the Trojans.
