The Methacton Girls Track and Field Team entered the season with a goal to "re-peat the three-peat".  After winning the SOL American Conference Championships in 2006, 2007 and 2008, the school district switched leagues and entered the PAC 10.  Winning the Pioneer Athletic Conference Championships in 2009 and 2010, they had their eyes set on their 2nd straight "3-peat".  On Saturday afternoon, the mission was accomplished, beating 2nd place Spring-Ford and the rest of the PAC 10 by a score of 229.5 - 153.

The Lady Warriors capped their 6th straight undefeated season by showing their depth, being the only team to score team points in each of the 18 events.  Gabby Becattini led the way by winning the Long Jump, Triple Jump and the 200M Dash, as well as placing 2nd in the 100M Hurdles, but she definitely wasn't alone.  Freshman Kara Steinke wn both the 1600M and the 3200M Run as well as placing 5th in the 800M.  Mel Leszcynski continued her dominance in the Javelin, easily winning the event, but also placed 5th in the discus and 6th in the Shot Put.  The 4x100 Relay picked up the other gold for Methacton with the team of Lizzy Shadle, Katie Catania, Kelly Glatthorn and Kelly Fields.

Several other members of the team placed in multiple events, helping to guide the team to the lopsided victory.  Meredith Foulke placed 2nd in the 3200M and 5th in the 1600M. In addition to the 4x100 Relay, Kelly Fields placed 3rd in the 200M, 4th in the 100M and 6th in the Long Jump.  Katie Catania added 2 individual 2nd place performances, one was a PA #10 triple jump and the other was in the long jump.  Seline Tan-Torres had a huge personal best with her 2nd place finish in the 400M and also placed 3rd in the 300 Hurdles.  Lizzy Shadle (300 Hurdles, 100M Hurdles, 4x100 Relay), Kaitlyn Saal-Ridpath (300 Hurdles, 400M, 4x400 Relay), Shannon Palmer (1600M, 3200M, 4x800 Relay), Ritu Saxena (Long Jump and Triple Jump) and Vicki Schaffer (High Jump and Long Jump) were also multiple event point scorers.

The team travels to Coatesville High School on Thursday and Friday for the District 1 Championships.
