Field Hockey wins PAC Championship!

Warriors Win: 3 - 1
Emily Owens scored 2 goals and Olivia Hoover added 2 assists to lead Methacton over OJR in the PAC Championship at Upper Perk Thursday night. Grace Hirst chipped in with a goal while Katy Benton had 1 assist for the Warriors. Molly Frey was phenominal in cage registering 13 saves. The Warriors in their first PAC title since 2008. It was a great team effort. With the win, the Warriors move to 20-0 on the season. Methacton is seeded #2 in the upcoming district 1 tournament and will play the winner of CB South/Wissahickon Wednesday afternoon.

Warriors Win: 3 - 0
Olivia Hoover scored 2 goals and handed out 1 assist while Emily Owens added 1 goal and 1 assist of her own to lead the Warriors into the date with OJR for the PAC championship Thursday. The Warriors beat Phoenixville 3-0. Molly Frey made 1 save in goal for Methacton. Methacton outshot Phoenixville 24 to 1 and out cornered the Phantoms 21 to 1.

Warriors Win: 1 - 0
Methacton finished off Souderton 1-0 to bring their regular season record to 18-0. Frankie Lucchesi drilled a shot from the top of the circle off an assist from Katy Benton. The defense of Jillian Kratz, Rachel Alderfer, Gretchen Alderfer and Molly Frey were up to the task of keeping Souderton off the scoreboard. Rachel Alderfer finished with 1 defensive save while Frey had 11 saves in goal. This was Frey's 10th shutout of the season. Methacton will play Phoenixville Tuesday night at Upper Perk at 6pm in the PAC-Semifinals.

Warriors Win: 5 - 3
Methacton defeated Perkiomen Valley 5-3 Thursday night to cap off a perfect PAC season at 10-0 in the Libery, 13-0 with cross over games. The Warriors improve their overall record to 17-0. Olivia Hoover led the Warriors with 2 goals and 1 assist. Liz Chipman and Grace Hirst each scored a goal and added an assist. Emily Owens scored a beautiful goal on a breakaway to cap off the night. Katy Benton added an assist while Molly Frey had 5 saves in goal. Methacton will host Souderton Saturday in their Play 4 the Cure game at 10am to finish off the regular season before heading to PAC-semi finals on Tuesday night.

Warriors Win: 2 - 1
With Molly Frey making 11 saves and getting two defensive saves from Rachel Alderfer, the Warriors were able to come home with a 2-1 victory over the host, OJR tuesday night. Emily Owens and Olivia Hoover scored for Methacton who raises their record to 16-0 overall, 9-0 in the PAC-Liberty division. The Warriors travel to the training center on Wells Road Thursday night to play PV in their final league game of the regular season.

Emily Owens scored 4 goals and 1 assist while Grace Hirst chipped in with 2 goals and 2 assists to lead the Warriors to a 7-1 non-league victory over visiting Harriton Saturday afternoon. Olivia Hoover rounded out the scoring with a goal and assist while Katy Benton added 2 helpers. Molly Frey made 3 saves on the day. Methacton increases their record to 15-0 overall, 8-0 in the PAC-Libery division. Methacton travels to OJR for a showdown of the top 2 teams in the PAC-Liberty divison on Tuesday night at 7. 
Seniors lead Field Hockey in win over Norristown

Warriors Win: 9 - 1
The Senior class accounted for 8 of the 9 goals and all 8 assists as the Warriors downed visiting Norristown 9-1 on Senior Day. Before the game, Methacton honored it's 11 seniors for all their hard work and dedication over the past 4 years. Mackenize Henry lead all scorers with 1 goal and a career high 4 assists, Olivia Hoover and Emily Owens scored 2 goals and handed out 2 helpers each. Maia Carfagno also added 2 goals while Rosa Coppa and Lauren Riordan each scored one goal. Molly Frey made 3 saves on the day for the green and white. Methacton ups their record to 14-0 overall, 8-0 in the PAC Liberty division. The Warriors host the Rams of Harriton Saturday at 2pm.

Warriors Win: 2 - 0
Katy Benton and Liz Chipman each scored a goal and Olivia Hoover added an assist as the Warriors defeated the visiting Rams of Spring-Ford. Molly Frey only had to make 3 saves with the steller defense of Jillian Kratz, Gretchen Alderfer and Rachel Alderfer keeping Spring-Ford at bay. Methacton is now 13-0 on the season, 10-0 in the PAC. Methacton will honor their seniors tomorrow as they host Norristown at 4pm. Senior Recognition begins at 3:30 in the stadium.

Katy Benton scored 3 goals to lead Methacton in a 5-0 PAC win over Boyertown. Steller defense by the Warriors, led by backs Gretchen Alderfer, Jillian Kratz, Rachel Alderfer and GK Molly Frey only allowed 1 Boyertown shot and 0 corners. Liz Chipman scored 1 goal and assisted 1 other, while Olivia Hoover added 2 helpers. Mackenzie Henry rounded out the scoring with 1 goal off an assist from Emily Owens. Methacton moves to 12-0 overall, 9-0 in the PAC. Methacton hosts Spring-Ford Wednesday night at 7:15

12 different Warriors registered at least a point and the goalie trio of Molly Frey (2s) Kelly O'Donnell (4s) and Sarah Woolston (2s) lead the hosts to a 12-0 PAC victory over Upper Merion. Olivia Hoover led all scores with 3 goals, Emily Owens and Katy Benton each scored 2. Liz Chipman, Macie McCarthy, Maia Carfagno, Reilly Smith, and Mackenzie Henry (1a) all scored a single goal. Grace Hirst chipped in with 3 assists, Jillian Kratz added 2 assists, Frankie Lucchesi and Corinne Huber added one helper each. Methacton raises their record to 11-0, hosts Boyertown Monday night.

Senior Emily Owens scored 3 goals and assisted another to lead Methacton to a non-league victory over Interboro.  Owens second goal of the game was the 50th of her career. Grace Hirst scored 2 goals and added an assist while Olivia Hoover and Mackenzie Henry had 1 goal and 1 helper. Katy Benton rounded out the scoring with a goal of her own and Liz Chipman picked up an assist. Molly Frey earned the shutout win making 11 saves.

9 different Warriors registered points for the green and white in a 9-0 pummeling of Pottsgrove. Emily Owens lead all goal scorers with 3 goals while Olivia Hoover collected 2 goal and 2 assists. Methacton got single tallies from Frankie Lucchesi, Grace Hirst, Katy Benton, and Liz Chipman. Mackenzie Henry and Gretchen Alderfer picked up 2 assists each while Alexa Kratz assisted 1 goal. Goalies Molly Frey, Sarah Woolston, and Kelly O'Donnell split time in cage and faced zero shots.

Olivia Hoover scored 3 goals to lead Methacton to a 5-0 PAC crossover win over Pottstown Monday. Grace Hirst (1a) and Mackenzie Henry also picked up goals for the Warriors. Liz Chipman, Katy Benton, Maia Carfagno, and Hirst each added assists as well. Molly Frey picked up the shutout, facing no shots on goal.

Warriors Win: 2 - 1
Katy Benton scores the game winner off an Olivia Hoover assist with 23:20 left in the second half to propel Methacton to a 2-1 win over visiting PV. Liz Chipman got Methacton on the board just 1 minute and 16 seconds into the game. Chipman deflected a shot from Olivia Hoover past the PV goalie. PV got on the board just into the secon half before Benton delievered the game winner. Molly Frey made several excellent saves down the stretch to secure the win. Frey finished with 11 saves. Methacton moves to 7-0 overall, 5-0 in the PAC. The Warriors travel to Pottstown Monday at 3:45.

Emily Owens strikes again! Owens scored what would be the gamewinner with 22:59 left in the first half off an assist from Frankie Lucchesi. The Warriors took down the 2 time defending PAC champs OJR 1-0 under the lights at Methacton. Molly Frey made 13 saves for Methacton. Methacton hosts PV Friday at 3:15 in the stadium.

Emily Owens scored her second goal of the game with 3:48 left in overtime. The visiting Warriors also got a goal from Olivia Hoover who also had 2 assists. Molly Frey made 3 saves for the green and white.

Alexa Kratz had a hat trick and Grace Hirst scored 2 goal and assisted two others as Methacton blanked Norristown 10-0. Olivia Hoover collected 2 goals and an assist while Frankie Lucchesi and Mackenzie Henry had 1 goal and 1 helper. Emily Owens finished with a goal and adding an assist each were Rosa Coppa and Liz Chipman. Goalies Molly Frey, Kelly O'Donnell, and Sarah Woolston combine for the shut out with Woolston making 3 saves. Field Hockey is back in action tomorrow at Boyertown at 3:45pm.

Warriors Win: 3 - 2
Katy Benton picked off a pass and drilled a shot from the right edge of the circle just 20 seconds into the second half to put the visiting Warriors up 3-0 on Saturday against CB East. CB East found the back of the cage twice in the final 27 minutes but the Warriors stood strong late in the game to secure the non-league victory. Olivia Hoover and Emily Owens each scored a goal with Frankie Lucchesi adding an assist. Benton and Gretchen Alderfer had a defensive save each while Molly Frey made 9 saves in goal. The Warriors are now 3-0 and travel to Norristown Monday afternoon.

Olivia Hoover scored 2 goals, including the 50th of her career to lead Methacton to a 3-0 win over PAC foe Spring-Ford. Emily Owens scored 1 goal and assisted 1 and Molly Frey made 4 saves in her first career shutout. Methacton travels to CB East tomorrow at 2pm.

Emily Owens notched 4 goals for Methacton in their season opening victory over visiting North Penn. The Warriors went up 3-1 at half and added 3 more goals in the second half to walk off with a 6-1 victory. Olivia Hoover added 1 goal and 1 assist while Frankie Lucchesi chipped in with 1 goal. Gretchen Alderfer and Katy Benton each had a defensive save while goalie Molly Frey saved 9 shots. The Warriors are 1-0 on the young season and travel to Boyertown Wednesday for the PAC opener at 3:45.
