Warriors Lose: 7 - 9
Fourth Quarter Surge Leads Rams over Warriors Methacton opened their 2018 season a bit later than intended as inclement weather postponed their first game against Coatesville on Friday of last week.  However, with the start of spring in the air the Warriors hosted Harriton for their first contest of the year.   The hosts would notch the first goal of the day as sophomore Joe Fusco scored his first of the year with just under 4 minutes gone by the the first quarter.  Methacton would extend the lead to 3-0 as Senior Kyle Kacala and Junior Jack Pellegrino each found the net on individual efforts.  Senior Stanley Kolimago added a fourth goal as the Warriors seemed to take control of the game early.  However, Ben Schall of Harriton would cut the lead in half on two strong individual dodges from the top of the box, scoring low and away on both shots.  Methacton however would hold the lead as both teams entered the half at 4-2.   The third quarter was a back and forth affair with each team seizing momentum.  Methacton found the net three times with Sean Sykes, Kyle Kacala and Justin Sanelli each scoring once.  The Rams however proved formidable adding three of their own as the two goal gap held through three full quarters.   The fourth quarter, however, would be all Harriton as the guests scored four times in the final frame to take the win.  Poor clearing combined with a number of penalties would ultimately do the Warriors in as they were unable to stem the tide with any goals of their own.   With the loss, Methacton falls to 0-1 on the year as the Rams improve to 1-1.  Methacton returns to action tomorrow as they host Great Valley in another non-league matchup.       1st 2nd 3rd 4th Final Methacton 3 1 3 0 7 Harriton 0 2 3 4 9 Scoring: Methacton - Kyle Kacala (2G), Pay Sikora (2A), Jack Pellegrino (1G), Stanley Kolimago (1G), Justin Sanelli (1G), Sean Sykes (1G), Joe Fusco (1G), Matt Wall (8 G, 9 G/A) Harriton - ?Schall (4G), Veasey (2G), J.
