Girls Winter Track and Field Practice during the Winter Break

The Girls Winter Track and Field Team will be practicing at the High School on Friday, December 27 and Monday, December 30 from 9:00 am - 11:30 am during the Winter Break. Regular after-school practice will resume on Thursday, January 2.

There will be a meeting for the parents of athletes on the Girl's Winter Track and Field team on Thursday, November 21 from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm in the LGI at the High School. All parents are encouraged to come as important information will be shared on fundraising, meet schedule/participants, season expectations, etc. 

1st Day of Girls Winter Track Practice

The first day of Girl's Winter Track and Field practice will be on Monday, November 18. All athletes who have submitted their completed paperwork should plan to meet in the Student Commons at 2:50 pm. Be prepared to run outside. Practice will end around 5:15 pm.

Girls Winter Track athletes earn 10 "Top 10" performances in the opening meet at Ursinus vs. 100+ teams

The Girls Winter Track and Field team opened the season at Ursinus College on Saturday. The Lady Warriors finished in the top 10 of an event ten times throughout the afternoon. An athlete that earned 3 of those performances was sophomore Coco Dunham. Dunham finished the day with 3 PRs, placing 3rd in the Triple Jump at 34' 10.25", 9th in the Long Jump at 16' 2" and 9th in the Shot Put with a throw of 29' 1.5". Junior Madi Eastmure also had a fine meet, placing 5th in the High Jump, clearing 4' 7" and 7th in the 55M Hurdles. Eastmure was followed by the senior tandem of Sabrina Williams and Marina Daywalt, who finished 8th and 9th, respectively, in the 55M Hurdle finals, each with a PR in the event. Seniors Camille Dunham (Triple Jump - 5th) and Juliana Keenan (200M - 9th) along with Sophomore Kristen Riddell (800M - 10th) rounded out the remaining Top 10 finishers.

The girsl will travel to Lehigh University on Friday for their next competion.

Six Meet of Champs qualifiers for Girls Track and Field in first Lehigh Meet of the season

The Girls Track and Field team traveled to Lehigh University on Friday night for the first DVGT meet of the season. With 80 teams in attendance, the Lady Warriors put forth an exceptional effort, qualifying for the post-season "Meet of Champions" in 6 different events. Madi Eastmure started the list of qualifying athletes, making the MOC in both the 60M Hurdles (10.04 seconds) and the High Jump (4' 11"). Juliana Keenan and Camille Dunham also qualified in two events, one individual and one on a relay. Keenan ran a 1:02.52 in the 400M, placing 4th and Dunham placed 4th in the triple jump, leaping 34' 3.5". The two combined with Coco Dunham and Delaney Smith in the 4x200 Relay, completing the race in 1:52.52, placing 6th. Junior Rory Stein will also be competing in the post season, clearing 10' 0"  in the Pole Vault, which is the 6th best in school history.

The team will travel to New York on Friday/Saturday to compete at the annual Bishop Laughlin Games.

The Methacton Girls Track and Field Team traveled to Staten Island, NY to compete against over 200 schools covering 5 states. The Lady Warriors put forth an excellent effort, placing athletes in the top 10 of an event 12 times. Freshman Gabrielle Baker placed 2nd in the freshmen 55M Hurdles. Fellow freshman Isabelle Gerhart placed 9th in same event.  Sophomore Camryn Steere placed 9th in the sophomore hurdle event, while Junior Madi Eastmure placed 8th in the Varsity race. Eastmure also had a 3rd place finish in the High Jump. 

Junior Rory Stein finished 4th in the pole vault with a clearance of 10' 0". Sophomore Coco Dunham secured several top 10 finishes, placing 8th in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump and anchored the 4x200 relay with Juliana Keenan, Delaney Smith and her sister Camille Dunham to a 7th place finish. Camille also placed 10th in both the Long Jump and the Triple Jump. The other top 10 finish was by sophomore Kristen Riddell. She placed 8th in the the 1000M Run.

The Lady Warriors will not compete again until January 10 at Haverford College.

Keenan leads Girls Track and Field at Haverford

Senior Juliana Keenan led the Methacton Girls Track and Field Team with another strong performance at Haverford College. Keenan, who had already qualified for the Meet of Champions in both the 400M and as a member of the 4x200 relay, placed 2nd in the 200M, qualifying for the post-season meet in a 3rd event. Fellow seniors Sabrina Williams and Marina Daywalt also had an outstanding evening. Placing 10th and 11th, respectively, in the 60M hurdles, both ran a personal best in the event, less than two tenths of a second from qualifying for the Meet of Champions. Sophomore Coco Dunham place 7th in the 60m dash, running a personal best of 8.34 seconds, just .04 seconds from the Meet of Champions.

The Lady Warriors will travel to both Lehigh University and Penn State University next weekend.
