Track and Field Team End of Season Information 5-15-12
- Uniforms should be cleaned, placed in a plastic bag, labeled clearly with your name and returned to the Athletic Office
- Anyone that ordered a team jacket and has not yet turned in their money needs to pay their $20 to Coach Constable ASAP
- The team party will be held at Mermaid Lake after school on Thursday May 31st. Details were e-mailed previously to parents. Please respond as requested ASAP

Boy's Track and Field Team Medals at Prestigious Puma - Henderson Invitational Invitational

The Methacton boy's track team traveled to the PUMA-Henderson invitational on Friday (5-4-12) where they competed against more than 70 high schools from 5 states.
Kevin Kennedy earned the gold medal in the triple jump with a winning leap of 44' 8". Other medalists included Joey Shomberg in the Pole Vault and Scott McFarlin in the 100m dash.
Achieving personal best performances for the boy's were: Tom Duffy in the 800m run (2:02.44), Mathew Schulz, (who set a freshman record in the 800m run with a 2:04.15) along with Pat Hopkins and Curtis Watro who both qualified for the District I Championship Meet by running under 4:28 in the 1600m run.
The boys and girls track teams will be competing Friday (5-11) and Saturday (5-12) at the PAC 10 Championship Meet in Boyertown.
PAC 10 Championship Meet: Important Info to Note

REMINDER: All Methacton Track and Field members are scheduled to attend the PAC 10 Championship meet on Friday and Saturday. All members should wear their uniforms. Team pictures will be taken.
Friday's class dismissal will be at 10:45 -The busses will depart for Boyertown promptly at 11pm. Track and Field team members are reminded to plan accordingly. The events on Friday are expected to conclude by approximately 6:15pm.
Saturday busses are scheduled to depart at 7:45 AM. The competition is expected to conclude by approximately 4:00pm. The awards ceremony should conclude by 4:30
Provisions will be made for any athlete that is scheduled to take an AP exam on Friday. Notify Coach Constable if you are scheduled to take the exam.
All team members are expected to attend the PAC 10 competitions with their teammates. Any athlete that can not attend the competitions due to unchangeable family or school conflicts should have their parent e-mail Coach Constable regarding the circumstances.
Any athlete requesting permission to leave the meet early due to family or school conflicts should likewise have their parent e-mail the circumstances to Coach Constable prior to the meet.
ALSO TO NOTE: Information on the end of season team party being held at Mermaid Lake on Thursday, May 31st has been e-mailed to parents.
Boy's Track and Field Team Defeats Owen J Roberts

The Boy's Track Team earned their eighth win of the season following a 91-59 victory over Owen J Roberts on Wednesday (5-2-12.)
Scott McFarlin led the team with wins in the 100m, 200m, and 400m runs. Also winning for the Warriors were Pat Hopkins in the 1600m run, Stephen Fiorentino in the 110m hurdles, Curtis Watro in the 800m run, Ryan Clee in the 3200m run, Kevin Kennedy in the triple jump, James Rees in the pole vault, Nick Delaney in the shot put and Anthony Schulz in the discus.
Mathew Schulz (1600m), David DiPasquale (100m and 200m) and Pat Hopkins (800m) each edged out their opponents to earn critical second place finishes while helping the team to victory.
The boys are now 8 and 1 in their PAC 10 competition and will head into the PAC 10 Championships next week.

The Boy's Track Team competed at the Great Valley Relays on Saturday against 35 other schools from the Delaware Valley.
Special congratulations were given to the 4x1600 meter relay team of Tom Duffy, Pat Hopkins, Mathew Schulz and Curtis Watro who brought home a bronze medal and established a new school record in their event.
Other medal winners for the boy's were:
Pat Hopkins, Steve Fiorentino, David DiPasquale and Scott McFarlin in the Sprint Medley Relay
Aaron Capece, Steve Fiorentino, David DiPasquale and Scott McFarlin in the 4x200 meter relay
Kevin Kennedy and Dan Grubelic in the Triple Jump
James Rees and Joe Shomberg in the Pole Vault
Nick Delaney and Zavier Williams in the Shot Put
Anthony Schulz and Evan Hammond in the Discus
Kevin Kennedy attained the longest jump of any competitor during the entire competition.
Boy's Track and Field Team Victorious over PV and Phoenixville

The Boy's Track and Field team improved their PAC 10 record to 5 - 1 with victories over Perkiomen Valley (78-72) and Phoenixville (101-43).
First place finishers for the Warriors included: Curtis Watro (1600m), Scott McFarlin (400m and 200m 100m), Kevin Kennedy (High Jump, Triple Jump, Long Jump), Stephen Fiorentino (300m and 110m hurdles), Tom Duffy (800m) Nick Delaney (shot put) James Rees (pole vault) and Anthony Schulz who threw a personal best 129' 8" in the discus.
Also earning first place finishes for the Warriors were the 4X800m relay team of Ryan Clee, Matt Schulz, Tom Duffy and Pat Hopkins along with the "never say die" 4x400m team of Stephen Fiorentino, Kewaune Walker, Tom Duffy and Eric Przyuski.

Boy's Track Team Medals at Pennsylvania Track Classic

Saturday (3-31-12), the boy's track team competed against some of Pennsylvania's finest Track and field athletes. Methacton was one of more than 50 high schools scheduled to compete at the 28th Pennsylvania Track Classic. Returning home as medal winners were: James Rees (silver in the Pole Vault), Kevin Kennedy (bronze in the triple jump) and Scott Mcfarlin ( 5th in the 200m dash). Sophomore Pat Hopkins ran a personal career best 9:57.68 in the 3200m run.

Locker Room Guidelines and Expectations:
1. Seniors and Juniors are to use the 2nd Floor East Wing Locker Room area opposite the showers
2. Freshman and Sophomores should use their gym locker areas
3. T&F Athletes are expected to be gentleman and make good choices
4. Athletes are responsible for and should secure their personal belongings
5. Athletes are expected to keep their respective locker room areas clean and organized
6. Any locker room damage should be reported to the head coach
7. If any problem occurs it should be reported immediately to the head coach
Boy's Track and Field Win PAC 10 Openers

The Warrior thinclads defeated PJP 127-23 and were also victorious over Pottsgrove 97-52.
Scott McFarland and Kevin Kennedy helped lead the Warriors by combinig for 11 individual first place finishes during the double duel meet. Multiple winners for the boys included: Steve Fiorentino (300m and 110m Hurdles) , Jacob McCubbins (3200m), Tom Duffy (1600m), Anthony Schulz (Discus), James Rees (PV), Nick Delaney (Shot Put) and the 4X800 relay team of Curtis Watro, Ryan Clee, Pat Hopkins and Jacob McCubbins.
Several members of the boys team were selected to participate this Saturday (3-31-12) in the Pennsylania Track and Field Classic held at Plymouth Whitemarsh HS More than forty schools are expected to be in attendance.

1. Come to practice on time, prepared and ready to perform (note required for missed or late practice)
2. Be gentleman demonstrating respect to others
3. Be responsible for their own safety and the safety of others
4. MAKE GOOD CHOICES

Boy's Track and Field Medal Winners at Season Opener

The Methacton Boys Track and Field team opened their 2012 season at the 11th Annual Oxenreider Relay Carnival at Muhlenberg High School. The Warriors returned home with several medal winners.
James Rees and Eric Przyuski combined to tie for a gold medal in the Pole Vault. The relay team of Pat Hopkins, Tom Duffy, Steve Fiorentino and Curtis Watro garnered the silver in the Distance Medley Relay. Hopkins, Duffy,and Watro later joined with Mathew Schulz to bring home their second silver medal in the 4X800m relay. Aaron Capece, Scott McFarlin, Ryan Dietch and Joe Collis sprinted to a bronze medal in the 4X100m relay.
The Warriors will open their PAC 10 Schedule versus Pottsgrove and Pope John Paul II at Methacton this Wednesday.

Athletes will have an opportunity to:

3. Preview the 2012 season
4. Receive tips and guidelines for completing required paperwork
5. Ask questions and meet prospective teammates
You can help the team by recruiting and reminding fellow athletes to attend the meeting.

Coach Constable Warrior Run 5K Event 11-4-12Updated on 06/10/2022 The first ever Warrior Run 5k Event will be held at the High School. All members of the community are invited to attend and to help raise funds for the Athletic Fields Improvement Project.
