Methacton Wrestlers Defeat Norristown, 53-18
The Warrior wrestlers defeated next door neighbor Norristown 53-18 in their Pioneer Athletic Conference opener.
The Warriors were powered by the strength of five pins recorded by Brayden Giovinco, Ryan Hayes, Joey Simko, Gavin Rose and Dylan Pachik. Jack Hayes gutted out a 2-0 victory while Bobby Goliash and Collin O’Neill won by major decision. Sahash Suresh and Matty Shumaker picked up forfeits.
The Warriors’ record now stands at 4-1 overall and 1-0 within their league.
In junior varsity action Maksym Kozak, Auggie Reith, Alidel Vidal, Joe Civitello, Liam Goldich and Anthony Cancro won their matches.
The Warriors’ next competition is the Valley Forge Duals at Upper Merion High School this coming Saturday. Matches get underway at 9:00 am.
