RIDLEY HIGH SCHOOL: 31
The JV Lady Warriors started off the season with a 31-28 loss to Ridley. The Lady Warriors held a 5 point lead in the 4th quarter but could not hols on down the stretch dropping their opener. Freshman Mairi Smith had 8 points and 10 rebounds in the game. Sophomore Kayla Kaufman followed with 7 points. Sophomore Nina Martino had 4 points. Freshman Ashley Fisher had 3 points. Junior Catherine Connolly and Freshmen Reana Torres and Morgan Coupe had 2 points each.
The Lady Warriors fell 40-37 to Lansdale Catholic. The Lady Warriors again led by as many as 9 prior to the half, but could not hold on over the final two quarters. Freshman Maiar Smith again led the way with 16 points and fellow Freshman Reana Torres had 12 points. Sophomore Nina Martino had 4 points. Freshmen Ashley Fisher 3 points and Morgan Coupe 2 points closed out the scoring.
