Slow Start, Strong Finish for Warriors

The boys lacrosse team opened PAC-10 play today with a home tilt against the Pottsgrove Falcons.  The upstart Falcons opened the scoring in the 5th minute of the game on an individual effort from Will Wallace.  Methacton tied it up at 1:33 off a Keith White goal in transition assisted by Dom Germano.  The Falcons closed the first quarter scoring on a wild transition goal in the final second of the frame. 

The second quarter was all Methacton as the warriors scored six unanswered goals to open up a 7-2 halftime lead.  Two Dom Germano goals were sandwiched around goales by Michael Del Vecchio and Nick Mazza.  Keith White then finished his second unassisted while Ben Schimpf closed the first half scoring on a solo effort. 

The third quarter saw more of the same as Methacton held the visitors scoreless while extending their lead to 9-2 with goals by Ben Schimpf and Michael Del Vecchio.  Methacton closed out the fourth quarter with goals from Joe Ruhl, Keith White, and Aidan Denecke while the visitors notched three tallies of their own. 

With the win, Methacton moves to 2-0 overall (1-0 PAC-10).  They host the Boyertown Bears in an important league match-up.
