Warriors edge closer to playoff spot

The Warriors entered todays game in third place in the PAC-10 against the 4th place Vikings of Perk Valley.  A win would help solidify their position and an oppportunity to make the PAC-10 final four. 

The visiting Warriors opened the scoring on the day as Brian Vawter netted what would be the first of a 3 goal day to take a one goal lead.  Despite dominating posession and having many opportunities to score the quarter would end with the score 1-0. 

The second quarter proved to be much better for Methacton as they outscored PV 4-1 to take a 5-1 lead into the half. 

Cody Rigdway helped the Warriors extend their lead with a goal and assist in the third quarter but Perk Valley responded to each Methacton tally and the quarter would end with an 8-4 margin. 

Methacton seized control in the fourth quarter as they outscored the hosts 6-3 to build the final 14-7 score. 

Senior Cody Ridgway found the net four times and added three helpers to notch a season high 7 point game.  Fellow Senior attackman Clay Sobocinski added four assists and Brian Vawter completed a hat-trick for Methacton.  With the win Methacton improves to 10-4 on the year (8-3 PAC-10)

The Warriors have a busy week next week as they host Spring-Ford on Tuesday May 3rd, then travel to Phoenixville on the 5th before an important non-league matchup under the lights at Plymouth-Whitemarsh on Friday May 6th.
