Warriors Top the Phantoms in PAC-10 Matchup

Methacton traveled to Phoenixville Friday night to face off against the Phantoms in their first PAC-10 game against each other this year.  The Warriors, behind 6 point performances from Senior Aidan Denecke and Junior Ryan O'Toole, overwhelmed the hosts as they extended a 9-4 halftime lead to the final 13-5 spread.  

Senior Aidan Denecke opened the scoring for Methacton on an individual effort just under four minutes into the game.  O'Toole would then notch another beating the goalie after a strong dodge from the top of the box.  O'Toole and Denecke would combine for the Warriors third goal after the hosts notched their first of the evening.  Phoenixville would cut the lead to 3-2 but Denecke would add another for the Warriors to hold a 4-2 lead after the first quarter.  

The Warriors were able to control the faceoff x in the first half and the second quarter would see the Warriors dominate possession and extend their lead to the 9-5 advantage at half.  

Senior Eric Dietch would add another Methacton goal in the third quarter and Denecke netted another as the Warriors were able to hold the Phantoms scoreless through the period.  O'Toole would net his final goal of the night and Junior Defenseman Kyle Derrickson would put the final nail in the coffin on another Denecke assist as the Warriors finished the game at 13-5.  

With the win the Warriors improved to 4-4 on the year (3-3 PAC-10) and returns to action on Monday hosting league leading Spring-Ford in another league game.
