Quick Start for Warriors as they Upend PJP II
Methacton Boys Lacrosse team has been plagued by slow starts this year but they managed to flip the script as they opened up a 13-1 halftime lead en route to a 17-9 dismantling of the Panthers of PJP II.
Nine different goal scorers found the net for Methacton and goalie Harvey Smith allowed only one goal and turned away 5 in his first half performance. Aidan Denecke led the Warriors with 8 points on 4 goals and 4 assists and Ryan O'Toole notched a goal of his own plus four helpers on the day. Connor Stevenson added three goals and 1 assist while Sophomore Kyle Kacala netted 2 of his own while assisting on two others.
Midfielders Eric Dietch and Stanley Kolimago also got in on the act scoring two goals apiece as Connor McHugh and brothers Cameron and Payton Sikora rounded out the scoring with individual tallies. Senior Kyle Fleming and Sophomore Stanley Kolimago were both dominant at the faceoff x proving Methacton with ample offensive opportunities.
With the win, Methacton improves to 4-5 overall (3-4 PAC-10) and they look to continue their winning ways as they travel to Pottsgrove on Monday night for another PAC-10 match-up.
