Defensive Effort Lifts Warriors over Pottsgrove

?Methacton visited Pottsgrove Stadium as the host Falcons were honoring their seniors on Senior night.  However, it would be the Methacton senior players who would shine is this matchup, as a strong defensive effort led to a 12-4 PAC-10 victory.  

The Warriors got on the board early and were able to capitalize on extra man opportunities as they opened up a 5-1 first quarter lead.  The first half would prove to be the tone setter as strong defense held the Falcons at bay as an opportunistic offense would stretch the lead to 9-4 at the halftime break.  The second half would be a much lower scoring affair but the Warrior defense lead by Seniors Andrew Benci and John Lausch as well as Juniors Kyle Derrickson and Harvey Smith would hold the Falcons scoreless.  

The Warriors saw four different players reach the four point mark on the evening.  Aidain Denecke (3G,1A), Stanley Kolimago (3G,1A), Connor Stevenson (2G,2A), and Kyle Derrickson (1G,3A) all tallied four points against Pottsgrove.  Gill Price added a goal and an assist while David Serratore and Nick Salerno each found the net once.  

Methacton returns to action as they travel to Perk Valley on Wednesday night in another PAC-10 showdown.
