The Methacton Warriors secured possession of 1st place in the PAC-10 conference with a convincing victory at home over Upper Perkiomen 10-3. Methacton's Kyle Lowery blasted a 2-run homer in the 2nd to give the Warriors a 3-0 lead, and Austin Bregman, pinch-hitting in the 6th, sent the first pitch over the left field fence for a 3-run shot to put the Warriors up 9-3.
Senior Trip Hagner, in his mound debut for the Warriors, earned the win going six innings while scattering three hits and striking out four. Upper Perk scored three times in the 4th, aided by three Methacton errors and two walks. Tim Carfrey came in the pitch the 7th, striking out three. Lefty Dante Debrigida started for Upper Perk and went four innings allowing four earned runs and no walks, while striking out five and picking three runners off first base.
Methacton's potent offense recorded 13 hits from every position in the batting order, including four doubles by Glenn Seymour (2 hits), Zack Harmon (2 hits), Danny Damato (2 hits), and Tyler Kirkpatrick.
