In a battle for first place in the PAC-10, the Boyertown Bears outlasted the Methacton Warriors by a final score of 9-7.  Boyertown came out swinging, and scored four runs in the top of the first using a lead-off walk, a sac bunt, a sac fly, and five singles.  AJ Bogucki smacked a solo shot in the 2nd inning and Boyertown was up 5-0.  However, Methacton fought back in the bottom of the third with six runs of their own to take the lead.  Danny Damato led-off and picked up two hits in the same inning as Clayton Harwick and Tim Carfrey both added two-rbi singles.  But Boyertown bounced right back in the top of the fourth when Cory Fox (2 hits, 3 runs on the day) blasted a first-pitch two-run homer to left.  Methacton then tied the game 7-7 in the bottom of the 4th as Tyler Kirkpatrick reached base on a HBP, stole second, and was driven home by Clayton Harwick (3 hits, 3 rbi for the game).  Cory Fox then came through again for the Bears, leading-off the 7th with a single and was bunted to second before a fielding error allowed him to score.  Boyertown's Luke Stong added his second rbi single of the game to close out the scoring.  Reed Hostrander picked up the loss for the Warriors going six plus innings; AJ Bogucki earned the win for the Bears, striking out eight in six innings, despite allowing eight hits, three walks and a hit batter.  Dan Woodley struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh to record the save.
