In a tightly contested pitcher's duel, the Pottstown Trojans hung a one-run defeat on the visiting Methacton Warriors.  Pottstown's Dylan Vermeesch blasted a first-pitch two-run home run to right field in the 6th inning to provide the margin of victory, driving in Rich Mascriarelli who had smacked a lead-off triple to center field.  Pottstown had scored once in the first behind singles from Mascriarelli and Baily Brown.  The Warriors struck out eight times off of Trojan starter Jason Hydier, and managed only one hit, a rbi single in the third inning by Clayton Harwick, and the score was tied 1-1 heading into the decisive sixth frame.  Methacton took the lead  in the top of the sixth without a hit as the first two batters walked, were moved over by a sacrifice bunt, and the go-ahead run crossed the plate on a balk.  Jake Gery came on to pitch the seventh and recorded the save for Pottstown in another interesting half-inning marked by Methacton's second hit of the game, an infield single by Tyler Kirkpatrick, a batters's interference call, a dropped pop-up that would have ended the game, with the final out being called on a controversial full-count check-swing stranding the tieing run at third base.  Reed Hostrander received the loss despite going the distance and surrendering four hits and one walk.
