UPPER PERKIOMEN HIGH: 7

The Methacton Warriors travelled to Pennsburg to take on the Upper Perkiomen Indians and escaped with an 8-7 win in a wild contest.  The win gives the Warriors their fourth straight PAC-10 road victory in as many days to catapult them to second place in the conference.  Methacton grabbed an early 2-0 lead when Tyler Kirkpatrick led off the game with a single, was driven home by Glenn Seymour's single, and then Trip Hagner's (1 hit, 2 runs, 2 rbi) sacrifice fly plated Kyle Feaster, who was running for Seymour.  Eric Stalford doubled home a run for the Indians in the bottom of the second to narrow the gap to 2-1.  Methacton tacked on a run in the top of the fourth on Kyle Lowery's (3 hits on day) rbi double, then the game nearly unravelled for the Warriors.  Each of the first five batters for Upper Perk reached base on infield errors in the bottom on the fourth, and before the inning was over Upper Perk was ahead 7-3, capped by Ryan Harris' two-rbi single.  Once again, the Warriors displayed some serious resiliency, grabbed their bats, and battled right back in the top of the fifth with four runs to tie the game 7-7.  Seymour (2 hits, 2 runs, 2 rbi) stroked a rbi double to the left-center gap bringing home Kirkpatrick who had singled to lead off the inning.  A couple batters later Kyle Feaster, running for Seymour again, was nearly erased from third base on a delayed steal attempt.  Given another chance, Methacton's Danny Damato sent a line drive into the right-center gap for a two-rbi single to tie the game.  An inning later the Warriors scored the go-ahead run on Kirkpatrick's lead-off triple - his third lead-off hit and run scored of the game.  Kirkpatrick would score on Tim Carfrey's (2 hits) single which proved to be the game winner.  Carfrey also earned the win on the mound going 5 2/3 innings allowing only three hits, but walking five batters.  Trip Hagner got a save - going the last 1 1/3 innings as the Indians stranded the tieing run at second base in the bottom of the severnth.
