Tyler Kirkpatrick launched a grand slam home run in the fifth inning as the Methacton Warriors posted a 10-7 non-league win over Norristown Saturday afternoon. The Warriors had fallen behind by scores of 2-0, 5-2 and 7-3, but Methacton's bats brought them back once again. Glenn Seymour's lead-off triple in the fifth was followed by a rbi single from Clayton Harwick to narrow the score to 7-4. A couple walks later and Kirkpatrick stepped to the plate and on one pitch gave Methacton an 8-7 lead. After a pitching change, Tim Carfrey singled and Jim Shomberg doubled to add another run. Seymour and Kirkpatrick each had three hits on the day as the Warriors scored a run from all nine positions in the batting order, collecting eleven hits overall. Reed Hostrander earned the win with two innings of relief and Trip Hagner pitched the seventh for a save. Norristown scored five runs off Warriors' starter Clayton Harwick aided by several fielding errors. Iorio picked up two hits and two runs, and Grimes had two hits and two rbi, for Norristown.
