Girls Varsity Track & Field win vs. Pope John Paul II to stay perfect on the season

The Methacton Girls Track and Field team improved their record to 6 - 0 on the season with a 105 - 45 win vs. Pope John Paul II. Mel Leszcynski broke her own school record in the javelin with a throw of 134' 2". She also posted a win the discus with a throw of 94' 7". Seline Tan-Torres notched 3 wins on the day, winning the 300M Hurdles in 46.0 seconds the 800M in 2:23.0 and as a member of the 4x400 relay. Other event winners included Elexa Sherman in the 400M, Haley Kramer in the 100M Hurdles, Gabby Becattini in the triple jump, Vicki Schaffer in the high jump and Kristin Beatty in the Pole Vault. Weather permitting, the girls will travel to Plymouth Whitemarsh on Saturday for the Colonial Classis before playing host to the undefeated Spring-Ford Rams on Tuesday.
