Girls Track and Field Team win 50th straight meet!!

SPRING-FORD/POTTSTOWN: 61
The Girls Track and Field Team put together a complete team effort to produce the 50th consecutive win for the program, spanning the past 6 seasons. They faced a previously undefeated Spring-Ford team and came through with an 89 - 61 win. They also completely dominated Potstown by a score of 147 - 3. Seline Tan-Torres, Shannon Palmer, Mel Leszcynski, Katie Catania, Gabby Becattini, Kristin Beatty, the 4x100 and the 4x800 Relays all came through with clutch performances. Kelly Fields, Meredith Foulke and Lizzy Shadle placed in multiple events. For the season, the girls are 8 - 0.
They head to the University of Pennsylvania on Thursday for the prestigious Penn Relays. Mel Leszcynski will compete in the javelin; Gabby Becattini in the Triple Jump; the 4x100 Relay of Lizzy Shadle, Katie Catania, Vicki Schaffer, and Kelly Fields; the 4x400 Relay of Elexa Sherman, Kelly Fields, Seline Tan-Torres and Kaitlyn Saal-Ridpath; and the 4x800 Relay of Elexa Sherman, Shannon Palmer, Brianna Earnshaw and Seline Tan-Torres will all compete.
