Watson, a 5-10 senior bound for Kutztown University, also grabbed 10 rebounds as the Warriors improved to 2-0.
Council Rock South which advanced to the PIAA-Class AAAA quarterfinals a year ago and was ranked fourth in the area in the preseason Philadelphia Inquirer rankings, tied it at 46-46 on Courtney Brown’s jumper from the top of the key with 15 seconds left, and Methacton called time with nine seconds remaining to set up the final sequence.
Point guard Kara Steinke took the inbounds pass and got it to Watson, who got to the middle of the lane, took the shot with two seconds left and got the roll as time expired.
Jenna Carroll had 12 points and 11 boards for the Warriors, and was named to the all-tourney team along with Watson
