Spring-Ford All-State Guard Sammy Stipa hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 30 seconds left in the first half and visiting Spring-Ford reeled off the first 12 points of the third quarter en route to a 48-27 victory over Methacton Thursday night in a rematch of last year’s Pioneer Athletic Conference girls basketball championship.

The victory closed out a second straight unbeaten league regular season campaign for the defending PAC-10 champ Rams (13-0, 19-2), who have won 30 straight league regular season games.

Kelsey Watson scored eight of her team-high 12 points and Kelly Glatthorn scored all seven of her points in the first half for Methacton (8-3, 16-4), which led 13-10 after a quarter and was within 21-20 at the break.

But Spring-Ford, which got a game-high 17 points from Stipa, cranked up the defensive pressure and the Warriors could manage just seven points over the final two quarters.   Sarah Payonk scored 12 points for the Liberty Division champ Rams.

The Lady Warriors now force two must win games Saturday at Boyertown and Tuesday at Owen J. Roberts to force a tie for second place in the Liberty Division and a one game playoff for the second spot in the PAC-10 Final Four.
