The #5 seeded Lady Warriors came up against a young and pesky #28 seeded Council Rock North squad in the first round of the District 1 AAAA playoffs on Saturday afternoon.  But the Lady Warriors were able to hold off the Indians and come away with a 46-38 victory which was the program's sixth straight first round win in the past seven years.  Junior Jenna Carroll with 19 points and 12 rebounds and Senior Kelsey Watson with 15 points and 14 rebounds led the way for the Lady Warriors who now move on to Wednesday night's second round.  There the Lady Warriors will take on #12 seed West Chester Rustin a team they met earlier in the season.  In that match-up on 12/21/12 the Lady Warriors pulled away from West Chester Rustin in the fourth quarter and came away with a 59-45 win.  West Chester Rustin has been very hot since then winning 17 straight games and the Ches-Mont league title.  At stake on Wednesday is a trip to the District 1 AAAA quarterfinals and a berth in the PIAA AAAA state playoffs scheduled to start March 8, 2013.  Game time on Wednesday is 7 PM at MHS.
