Lady Warriors defeat Neshaminy, one win away from state playoff berth

The Lady Warriors traveled to Neshaminy High School Saturday afternoon trying to rebound from Wednesday night's upset to #12 West Chester Rustin. They found a spirited #4 Neshaminy team also trying to rebound from an upset of their own to #20 Pennsbury. Both teams had alot on the line to avoid being a Top 5 District 1 seed going home without advancing to the state tournament. Kelsey Watson posted a double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds as the Lady Warriors kept their state playoff hopes alive with a 50-44 comeback win.
The fifth-seeded Warriors used a 16-8 run in the fourth quarter to overcome a two-point deficit and advance to the second round of the consolations at home against No. 16 Downingtown West Tuesday night at 6:30 PM.
Jenna Carroll chipped in with 8 points and Kelly Glatthorn added 7 for Methacton, which improved to 22-6 on the season and can lock up a PIAA slot by knocking off the Whippets.
