Steinke and Carroll lead Lady Warriors into State Playoffs

For just the second time in school history, the Lady Warriors basketball program is headed to the PIAA AAAA State playoffs. Juniors Jenna Carroll with 19 points and Kara Steinke with 11 points controlled the game on the offensive end for the Lady Warriors who used a 19-3 second quarter run to open up close 7-7 game after one into a comfortable 16 point halftime lead. The Lady Warriors kept the Whippets at bay in the second half and they came away with the 47-34 victory. The Lady Warriors will have one more playback game on Saturday at 1:30PM at home vs #10 Garnet Valley. This game will determine who will be the 9th and 10th seed in the PIAA bracket from District 1. The PIAA bracket will be released Sunday evening and the First Round of the state playoffs will begin on Friday March 8, 2013. The Lady Warriors record now stands at 23-6 on the season.
