Game summary
The Lady Warriors took the lead at 8-7 and led the remainder of way against the 2-0 Saints. Using a variety of zone defenses, Methacton held 6' 3" Georgetown recruit Omawumi Rafiu to just 2 points. Sophomore Kelly Glatthorn lead the way with 13 points. Sophomore Jenna Carroll followed with 12 points. Junior Kelsey Watson had 9 rebounds to go with her 10 points and Senior Maddy Parker had 10 rebounds to go with her 6 points. Sophomore point guard Kara Steinke's incredible ball handling (including a few moves that put a few Saints on the ground) against pressure defense the entire game was a key to the victory. The Lady Warriors record is now 2-3 on the season. They will next be in action on Tuesday night at Methacton in a big PAC-10 showdown with Boyertown. Both teams are 1-1 and tied for second place behind Spring-Ford on the Liberty Conference side of the PAC-10.
