Game summary
The Lady Warriors advanced to the PAC-10 Championship to take on Spring-Ford with a 45-27 victory over Pope John Paull II. The win moved the Lady Warriors to 18-5 on the season. The Lady Warriors ruled the boards outrebounding PJP42-25 and played great defense holding the Panthers to just 10 field goals. Junior Kelsey Watson had16 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals to go with her 9 points and Sophomore Jenna Carroll had 13 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 assists, 2 steals to go with her 8 points.
It was also a big weekend for the Lady Warriors on the District 1 AAAA playoff front. Based on their 17-5 regular season and strength of schedule the Lady Warriors were awarded a spot in the Field of 32. The Lady Warriors will be the #8 seed and take on #25 Ridley (13-9) in the first round on a date and time TBD. The #8 seed gives the Lady Warriors home games for the first two rounds of the playoffs. The final 9 remaining teams in the District 1 playoffs earn a spot in the PIAA AAAA state playoffs set to begin on March 9th.
