Spring-Ford was named the No. 1 Class AAAA girls basketball team in a state poll released earlier this week by the Harrisburg Patriot-News. Wednesday night at Spring-Ford, the Rams proved beyond a shadow of doubt that they’re No.1 in the Pioneer Athletic Conference with a 62-33 blitz of the Lady Warriors for the league championship.
The Lady Warriors were paced by Jenny Bishop (8 points, 3 rebounds) and Kelsey Watson (6 points, 7 boards), but shot just 28 percent (13-46) in falling to 18-6 on the season, with three of its losses coming to the high-flying Rams.
The Lady Warriors will next be in action as the eighth-seed vs Ridley Friday evening (6 p.m.) at Methacton in the opening round of the District One Class AAAA tournament.
