The Lady Warriors tipped off their 2013-14 season with a hard fought 39-30 win over Council Rock South in the 6th Annual Lady Warrior Classic. After a low scoring, defensive first half that saw the Lady Warriors with a 14-10 halftime advantage, the second half saw the offensive action pick up as the Lady Warriors outscored the Hawks 25-20 in the half. Senior Kelly Glatthorn led the way with 17 points and 6 steals. Fellow Senior Jenna Carroll had 7 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Freshman Ryan DeOrio had 7 points also. Closing out the scoring were Senior Kara Steinke 4 points, Junior Sarah Picozzi 2 points, Senior Amber Szkaradnik and Freshman Jackie Cerchio 1 point each. The Lady Warriors will take on he #3 ranked team in AAAA in the state on Saturday at 4:30 pm, when they take on Mt. St. Joseph Academy in the Lady Warrior Classic Championship game.
