MOUNT SAINT JOSEPH'S: 46
The Lady Warriors cut a 19-point Magic lead cut down to six with two minutes remaining thanks to the hot hands of Warriors freshman Ryan DeOrio and senior Jenna Carroll, but the Magic withstood a ferocious Methacton rally to come out victorious, 46-36, on Saturday afternoon in the Lady Warrior Classic Championship. The Lady Warriors, which had been stymied by a Magic (ranked #3 in the state in AAAA) defense that rotated proficiently throughout, started to find open shooting lanes as DeOrio hit two straight 3-pointers, one from the left wing, the second from the right en route to eight straight points while Carroll started to exploit open lanes in the post. Both players finished with a team-high 12 points.
Lady Warrior Senior Kelly Glatthorn , who scored seven points in Saturday's loss, had 17 in Friday nights win and was named to the all tournament team.
