Lady Warriors test Spring-Ford but fall

The Lady Warriors fought tooth and nail against the defending PAC-10, District 1 and State Champion but Spring-Ford (cuurently #3 in the State) used its trademark defensive pressure to take charge down the stretch in a 50-40 victory over the Lady Warriors.  Leading 40-37 late in the fourth quarter, the unbeaten Rams forced three straight turnovers to key a closing 10-3 run.  The Lady Warriors Jenna Carroll, who posted a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, connected on a free throw to cut the gap to three at the 2:24 mark, Spring-Ford forced a turnover that resulted in an easy basket.  The Lady Warriors next two possessions also resulted in giveaways, leading to three free throws on a fouled 3-point shot and a layup off the fastbreak.  In addition to Carroll, Kelly Glatthorn collected 12 points with a pair of triples and Ryan DeOrio added 7 for the Lady Warriors (2-1 PAC, 3-2 Overall).
