Lady Warriors drop State Playoff contest to Wilson West-Lawn

The Lady Warriors gave District 3 champion Wilson all it could handle in the opening round of the PIAA Class AAAA girls’ basketball playoffs before dropping a season-ending 44-43 decision at Garden Spot High School.
Kelly Glatthorn (3 treys) and Jenna Carroll finished their brilliant careers with 14 points apiece for the Warriors (20-10), the No. 10 seed from District 1 who missed a potential game-winning shot in the closing seconds after coming back from a 39-31 deficit at the start of the fourth quarter.
The Lady Warriors, which also got 7 points from Ryan DeOrio and 6 points and 7 rebounds from Tejarra Ellis, had actually tied things up with 2:30 left but was unable to complete the comeback.
In the stat column, both Methacton and Wilson were an identical 16-for-38 (42 percent) from the floor, while the Bulldogs held a slight 26-22 advantage on the glass.
Kelly Glatthorn finishes her career with 1122 points which is fourth all-time in school history. Jenna Carroll finished with 1025 career points which is 5th all-time. She also finishes with 729 career rebounds which is 2nd all-time.
