Lady Warriors great effort falls short against Abington

The Lady Warriors undersized to the Abington frontline, gave the 2015 District 1 AAAA runner-ups all they could handle Saturday night in an exciting game at Methacton. But their great efforts fell short in a 59-51 loss. Junior Sydney Thompson had 21 points (5 triples) and 7 rebounds but the Lady Warriors (8-7) were unable to overcome a 27-16 run in the third quarter by the Galloping Ghosts (8-4) in suffering the nonleague setback.
Also for Lady Warriors, which led 23-21 at the break before the second-half breakdown, Junior Ryan DeOrio hit for 15 points (3 treys) and Junior Jackie Cerchio collected 12 points and 8 rebounds.
