The Lady Warriors (9-9) took control with a 19-9 first-quarter burst en route to the nonleague win at the AFBE Showcase. Junior Ryan DeOrio scored eight of her 12 points in the first quarter and Juniors Jenna Cooper and Sydney Thompson added 11 points apiece for Lady Warriors, which led 27-16 at the half and then fended off Fleetwood down the stretch. Fleetwood sliced the Lady Warriors' lead down to 40-38 midway through the fourth. But that's the closest Fleetwood would get down the stretch; DeOrio and Sophomores Olivia Pennypacker and Jill Zerbe all coaxed in game-icing foul shots in the waning seconds for the Lady Warriors, who overcame nine second-half turnovers.
