Lady Warriors get down early, but battle back in PAC title loss to Boyertown

BOYERTOWN AREA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 47
The Boyertown Bears secured the Pioneer Athletic Conference championship with a hard-earned 47-44 victory over the stubborn Lady Warriors.
With 43 seconds remaining and the score deadlocked at 44. Boyertown scored a bucket totake the lead 46-44. Lady Warriors freshman Sydney Tornetta’s three-point attempt spun out at the 5-second mark which would have gave the Lady Warriors the lead.
Boyertown then hit one of two free throws with 1.8 seconds left, and the Ladt Warriors final heave from the length of the court fell short.
The Lady Warriors fell behind 21-3 at the 6:10 mark of the second quarter, but were led by 1,000-point scorer Ryan DeOrio (17 points), Tornetta (16 points) and Jackie Cerchio (10 rebounds).
