The Lady Warriors won the 11th Annual Lady Warrior Classic for the fifth time with a gutsy 54-43 win over Lansdale Catholic.
Junior Caroline Pellicano posted a double-double with 12 rebounds and 10 points. Freshman Nicole Timko hit for 12 points, Junior Sydney Hargrove deposited 10 while Senior Abby Penjuke (4 assists) and Junior Sydney Tornetta added 8 points apiece for the Lady Warriors (2-0). The Lady Warriors who trailed 32-22 with two minutes remaining in the first half used an 8-0 run to close to 32-30 at the break. They then went on a 24-11 2nd half surge to secure the title.
The All-Tournament team included Methacton’s Penjuke and Timko, Lansdale Catholic’s Emily Smith, Kennett’s Andrea Prestianne and Ridley’s Lindsay Boyd.
