Lady Warriors faulter in second half, SpringFord comesback to win

The Lady Warriors played inspired basketball in the first half against the defending PAC champions. Using a 15-5 second quarter advantage, the Lady Warriors stormed to the half up 26-17. From the opening seconds of the second half SpringFord turned up the intensity and sent the Lady Warriors back on their heels. Turnovers and cold shooting (2 points) by the Lady Warriors in the 3rd quarter gave the Rams a 31-28 lead heading into the 4th. The Lady Warriors could never get their footing back after that and fell to the Rams 41-36. Junior Sydney Hargrove lead the way with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Freshman Nicole Timko added 8 points. Juniors Caroline Pellicano 6 points and Sydney Tornetta 4 points. Seniors Abby Penjuke and Sara Markley had 2 points each to close the scoring. The loss was the Lady Warriors first of the season dropping then to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the PAC. The teams next game is a non league match up at home on Saturday 12/15 vs Great Valley at 2:30 PM.
