Lady Warriors win fifth straight over Shawnee in Wildwood

Senior Abby Penjuke posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Lady Warriors (8-1) advanced to the championship game of the John Carlson Memorial Bracket at the Wildwood (NJ) Basketball Classic with the decisive win Saturday night at the Wildwood Convention Center.

Leading by just 22-21 at the break, the Lady Warriors stretched their advantage to 39-31 before closing things out with an 9-4 edge in the fourth quarter.

Freshman Nicole Timko hit two treys for 14 points while Junior Sydney Tornetta fell one board short of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds for the Lady warriors who will face Council Rock North (56-30 winner over Rustin) for the bracket championship Sunday night (8:30 pm) at the Wildwood Convention Center.
