Lady Warriors take control of PAC Liberty with win at Perkiomen Valley

Coiming off a win on Tuesday night against four time defending league champ Spring-Ford, the Lady Warriors (10-1 overall, 5-0 Liberty, 6-0 PAC) went to Perkiomen Valley on Saturday with hopes of taking early control of the PAC Liberty division. Perkiomen Valley (8-2 overall, 3-1 Liberty, 4-1 PAC) entered the game making waves with ayoung squad as challengers to Spring-Ford and the Lady Warriors in the Liberty. After a back and forth first half that saw the Lady Warriors up 2 at the half in a tight contest, the Lady Warriors took control early in the second half and did not let up to take the 56-39 victory at Perkiomen Valley. Junior Mairi Smith posted a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds and Senior Nicole Timko contributed 13 points and 5 assists as the Lady Warriors went wire-to-wire for their eighth straight win.
Other key contributors for the Lady Warriors, which used a 33-18 second half advantage to pull away from a narrow 23-21 lead at the break, were Senior Tori Bockrath with 11 points, Junior Cassidy Kropp with 10 points and Senior Kayla Kaufman with 7 rebounds.
