Senior Nicole Timko cashed in a game-high 19 points to equal the entire offensive production of the visiting Golden Panthers as the Warriors extended their winning streak to 10 Thursday night with the blowout 53-19 win over PJP. The win moved the team to 12-1 on the season overall and 8-0 in the PAC.
In a battle of PAC Division leaders, the Lady Warriors took charge from the opening tip, racing out to a 10-7 lead after one quarter and extending it to 20-13 at the intermission. A 12-1 edge in the third quarter essentially ended the drama for the Warriors, who were playing without senior starter Senior Tori Bockrath (8.3 ppg), sidelined with an ankle injury. Junior Cassidy Kropp chipped in with 12 points on a pair of three-balls to help compensate for Bockrath’s absence.
Timko now has 1461 career points, 221 behind 2008 graduate and program leader Renee Womack (1682 points).
