Lady Warriors fall to Perkiomen Valley on Senior Night

Perkiomen Valley's Grace Miley hit a clutch 3-pointer with 25 seconds left as the Vikings spoiled the Lady Warrirors bid for an unbeaten PAC slate in the league regular season finale for both teams Thursday night. Perkiomen Valley won the game 41-38 at Methacton. Before the game the Lady Warriors honored Senior players Nicole Timko, Caitlin Woolbert, Kayla Kaufman and Tori Bockrath along with Senior Team Manager Katie Hull as part of the Senior Night festivities.
Miley’s triple was her second of the night in the tight defensive affair that kept scoring at a premium. She finished with 7 points behind teammates Jennifer Beattie (12 points) and Quinn Boettinger (10). Perk Valley trailed 15-14 at the break but grabbed the lead with a 17-13 edge in the third quarter to ensure itself the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Final Six Tournament..
Nicole Timko scored 10 points and dished out four assists while Mairi Smith was strong on the interior with 8 points and 8 rebounds for the Warriors.
Despite the loss, which ended a 14-game winning streak for the Liberty Division champions, Methacton will be the top seed in the league playoffs, which begin next Thursday at Spring-Ford. The format has the division champion Methacton and Pope John Paul drawing first-round byes.
